Yohanas, Sam & Stephen Wang

Sam started his carpentry apprenticeship in 1994 and earned his California General Contractor license in 1998. He's spent his entire career in residential construction across San Francisco and the Peninsula. We incorporated as Sturdy Home Builders in 2019.

Stephen earned his General Contractor license in 2024. His background is in economics and data analysis.

Sam runs the technical side and oversees the jobsite. Stephen handles client communication, scheduling, budgets, and permits. The two of us are on every project together, start to finish

Our electrician, plumbers, and carpenters are people we've known and worked with for years. Not lowest bidders, but people we trust on a jobsite.

We hold ourselves to best building practices on every job.

When something unexpected comes up mid-project, we tell clients the same day. We'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation early than at the end of the job.

Most of our work comes from past clients and referrals.
